All art is made with reclaimed canvas and salvaged mixed media in a bid to provide luxury art that doesn’t just comment on the current climate change crisis, but is also born from a personal sense of responsibility to take positive action.
CLT_Abstracts aims to dismantle the notion that only big names can exhibit in galleries like the Tate and only paintings of things you can see hold any artistic value. Portraying self expression as the priority, each piece will either comment on an aspect of justice or hold an array of emotions that i have felt whilst making it. I wish to use my work as my voice to create a positive change and to spark dialogue. I make art based on what I feel rather than what I see, in the hope that it speaks to you and leaves a bold impression through a sense of movement, burst of colour and curious textures.
Inspiration comes to me on daily Cornish walks near to my home as well as via scrambled thoughts on social issues. My blog aims to explore where my inspiration comes from in more depth, as well as sharing my making process. Enjoy!
